New Elephant Racing GT3 Style Front Suspension System For 911
Press Release
Santa Clara, CA (May 13, 2014) – Elephant Racing has announced the availability of a GT3 inspired front suspension system for 1965 to 1989 Porsche 911, 912 and 930. The kit replaces the original crossmember, control arms, mounts, bushings and ball joints with a complete subframe system.
The system is modeled after the late GT3 cars and provides many of the same features. The arms are length adjustable, giving flexibility to adjust camber, caster and even track width.
All rubber bushings are replaced with spherical bearings. These bearings do not deflect or compress like rubber, keeping the suspension geometry true even under extreme cornering loads. Lack of deflection and binding makes the car predictable and easier to drive fast, reducing need for constant corrections by the driver. Low friction bearings allow the suspension to follow road/track irregularities smoothly, improving steering and suspension response.
All joints and bearings are fully weather-sealed with a rubber boots to protect them from road contaminates, making this kit suitable for track and street use. The crossmember, arms and links are milled from 6061 aluminum. Hard anodized finish is attractive in appearance and provides additional resistance from scratches and corrosion.
The GT3 front suspension setup takes advantage of existing control arm mounting points for simple bolt-on installation. No welding, cutting or grinding required. The installation is completely reversible, and the system is also completely re-buildable.
This is a coilover-only setup. Torsion bars have been removed in favor of coilover struts.
Elephant Racing GT3 Front Suspension System is available for immediate purchase world-wide. For more info call 1-408-297-2789.
